At Duty Calls we take the time to get to know our staff and their requirements. We will offer you work as it becomes available and place you in the best working environment for you. Because the service is run by nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there is always a qualified person here to take your call.

We offer flexible working hours that suit your needs so you work when and where you want to. This makes us a great option for people travelling or with family commitments.

We offer training to nursing staff and healthcare assistants – up to 20 hours per year. The training we provide will meet your requirements under the Healthcare Practitioners Act. Just let us know which courses you want to attend and we’ll see you there!

We have an intimate knowledge of the Wellington area and we also have the ability to place people on assignments further a field.

Having been established for over 20 years, we have excellent relationships with all the major hospitals. Not only will we contact you when there is work available, we’ll be actively seeking work specifically for you.

* Lab tests and uniforms are free of charge to all nursing staff and healthcare assistants on the understanding that they will complete a minimum of five shifts with Duty Calls. If they fail to do this, they will be asked to reimburse those costs.
